It is important that you read all of the
information below before attempting to place your advert on the
grid. If you are using our sister site Arts-Crafts-HobbiesandDIY.co.uk
you will need to use the buttons on the right of this page to
navigate between sites.The first thing
you need to understand is that the page is made up of 1,000,000
pixels. These pixels are divided into 10 thousand squares or
blocks and make up the grid and are visible on the
Home page.
Each separate square/block is 10 pixels x 10 pixels, that's
100 pixels per square/block.
When you place your advert the cost is determined by the
amount of squares/blocks it takes up on the grid and as each
square/block is individually priced the more squares/blocks you
use the more it will cost to place your advert.
When you have chosen a suitable image it is important that
you make sure you save it as jpg or
jpeg and that its dimensions are divisible by 10 pixels.
That is for example a 4 x 4 square/block would be 40 x 40
pixels.
You will then need to select the
Buy Pixels
button on the navigation bar to your right. This will send you
directly to the page that you need to place your advert.
At the top of the page you will see the table below, and
below that you will see the grid with the adverts on it.
You will need to fill
in the required fields as explained below.
1. When you click the Browse
button you will be sent to your files where you can select the
image you have chosen. Double click the image and it will
be imported to the top left hand corner of the grid and
the number of squares/blocks needed will be displayed along
with the price in GBP.If for whatever reason you are unhappy
with the image you can go back to browse and select another
larger or smaller image to place on the grid.
When you are happy with the image, you can use your cursor to
select a place for the image any where on the grid.
You cannot place it over another advert.
You can therefore choose any available spot on the grid by
placing your cursor in the position you require and clicking it.
There will be a short pause and your image will appear in the
new position. You can do this as often as you like until you are
happy with the position of your image.
2.Name:
Fill in your name — this is purely for our reference and is not
accessible to members of the public.
3.Email: Fill in your
chosen contact email address.4.
URL; Fill in the URL of the site to which you want the
image to link to, making sure you add
http://www. at the beginning.
5. Title: You can copy
and paste a brief description about your site into this box or
you can type a description if you choose.
Once you have done all of the above you will
be asked to Confirm your entry. Click the
Confirm button and you will be given the option to pay via
Paypal or Credit card where you can make a secure one off
payment for a 12 month period on the site. Towards the end of
the 12 month period you will be notified that your advert is due
to expire and will be offered the chance to renew.
Should you wish to save yourself the time and hassle of
producing your image and placing it on the grid we will be more
than happy to assist.
All you will need to do is send us your image in any format
you like .We will size it and price it and provide you with a
couple of sample adverts for you to choose from and then Email
them back to you.
When you have decided which image you would like to use Email
us and we will reserve you a place on the grid and send you an
invoice via PayPal. Once we receive confirmation of payment we
will activate your advert and send you an email with the details
on.
