This painting of a nude by William Bouguereau titled Venus with doves. features a beautiful young woman standing alone with doves flying about her. The doves are painted almost in a ghost like manner possibly with the intent of symbolising grace, purity and unconditional love.

Her head is cocked slightly to her left and she is looking down towards her shoulder and appears to be brushing some thing from her body with her left hand (a feather perhaps).
